A-dec and Medicom® have teamed up to create SafeShield™, a new diposable barrier designed to protect and preserve the shield on the head of LED dental lights.

Reportedly offering quick application and removal, SafeShield is said to protect lights from debris and scratches, including those caused by sharps.  Also, the SafeShield’s sturdy transparent material securely clings to lights without compromising optical fidelity, while weekly replacement is recommended, or whenever the light needs cleaned.

“The Medicom  SafeShield not only supports treatment room asepsis; it also protects the doctor’s investment,” says A-dec Clinical Product Manager Alan Grobey. “SafeShield offers a routine, cost-effective way to preserve and extend the life of the A-dec LED.”

Each A-dec LED dental light and LED upgrade kit includes a starter pack of two SafeShield barriers, but dentists can also order 10 packs from authorized Medicom distributors.

For more information about SafeShield LED dental light barriers, call 1-800-547-1883 or head to A-dec’s website at www.a-dec.com.
