June 11th 2012Henry Schein Inc. ranked 303 on the 2012 FORTUNE 500 list of largest U.S. public companies, which is based on 2011 revenue. The dental products distributor moved up 14 spots with revenue of $8.5 billion, a gain of 13.3% from 2010. According to Henry Schien CEO Stanley Bergman, 54% of Schein's business is in the dental space. Technology is responsible for 13% of the company's profits.
Nicolas Weidmann promoted to head up Nobel Biocare's global marketing efforts
June 11th 2012In a move aimed to improve marketing to customers, Nobel Biocare recently announced the promotion of Nicolas Weidmann to the position of Head of Global Marketing. Weidmann had previously been the implant, guided surgery and CAD/CAM company's Head of Global Communications. He will retain responsibility for Nobel Biocare's corporate communications while also taking on worldwide marketing responsibilities. According to a press release, the company hopes to the move will increase the effectiveness of the company's marketing efforts while also making them more efficient.
