The Straumann® CARES® Variobase™ Abutment has been on the market for roughly a year, but Jorge Pages, marketing manager of Straumann USA digital solutions, says there are big changes coming. Variobase™ will soon be available as a stand-alone product, an abutment the laboratory can purchase.
The Straumann® CARES® Variobase™ Abutment is a hybrid abutment with a titanium-alloy bonding base and customized zirconium dioxide coping, delivering the reliability of a titanium connection with the pleasing esthetics of a ceramic coping.
“The surgeons who choose Straumann obviously choose it for the technology, the history, the warranty,” Pages says. “And laboratories want to partner with those surgeons and we have a way for them to do that now.”
