Introduced to the U.S. market in September of 2012, Tokuyama’sShield Force Plus desensitizer was recently named Dental Advisor’s top desensitizer of 2013.

After thorough evaluation by 19 consultants over 300 uses, Shield Force Plus received an overall 97% clinical rating, capturing a position as one of the top dental products of 2013.   Overall, 84% of the consultants asserted that Shield Force Plus performed better than their current desensitizer, while 90% said they would switch to the product and 95% stated they would recommend it.

A one-component, single application, light-cured protective sealant, Shield Force Plus is reportedly designed to effectively penetrate and seal exposed dentinal tubules to block the flow of sensitivity-causing fluid.  Additionally, it also stops the loss of dentin caused by abrasion or erosion of cervical dentin.
