The E4D NEVO Scanner and Design Center by D4D Technology and Henry Schein reportedly enhances ease of use in digital dental restoration technology.
The first scanner to use E4D’s blue laser technology, the E4D NEVO scanner offers high quality, powder-free image capture, plus exceptional video-rate speed and ease of use. Additionally, blue laser technology provides the system with an improved ability to capture fine details, giving dental practitioners greater opportunity to offer their patients exact and accurate prosthetics. Other features of the scanner include adjustable FOV, ergonomic design for easy positioning, removable tips for infection control, color-coded feedback to operator, and more.
A laptop computer that utilizes Intel’s Thunderbolt™ technology, the E4D NEVO Design Center offers rapid processing and alignment of scans by providing more energy and double the bandwidth of USB 3 connections. Also, the center’s plug-and-play reportedly allows users to customize configurations, which streamlines practice-wide restorative workflows. Additionally, a wireless connection provides added mobility, allowing practitioners to easily move the design center from operatory to operatory.
The E4D NEVO scanner and design center will be featured at E4D’s “Business of Dentistry” conference in Las Vegas from August 8th through the 10th, and sales are expected to commence shortly thereafter in September.
