In a season filled with candy canes, gum drops and other sugary holiday goodies, it may not be a surprise that oral care product sales rise during the holidays as many health-conscious moms and dads tuck toothbrushes and flossers into little ones’ stockings. But for some families this holiday may not be quite as sweet.
That's why Plackers will give the gift of healthy smiles by donating more than 75,000 flossers to guests of Ronald McDonald Houses® in cities across the nation, including Dallas, New Orleans, St. Louis and Sacramento.
In the spirit of holiday giving, Plackers has donated its popular Micro Mint® disposable flossers for families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses in Texas, California, Louisiana and Missouri.
Through its Ronald McDonald House® programs, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) provide comfort, compassion and vital resources in a home-like environment for families with critically ill or injured children traveling to receive necessary care.
Donations like these from Plackers aid in the mission of RMHC by offering basic toiletries and necessities to visiting families so they don’t have to pack or shop for them.
“For years, our mission has been to help people take care of their smiles and make good oral care easy and convenient for families,” Plackers Marketing Manager Brett Huffman said. “We hope our donation will help Ronald McDonald House visitors smile, even during a difficult time.”?
Plackers, which holds the patent on the first disposable flosser, makes oral care products for the whole family, including a range of flossers that are engineered not to stretch, shred or break, as well as interdental brushes, Grind No More® night protectors and more.
