At the Greater New York Dental Meeting 2023, Dental Products Report had a chat with presenter, educator, and clinician Anthony Urbanek, DDS, MS, MD about his protocol for solving TMJ issues. [2 minutes]
Video Transcript:
Hi, I'm Tony Urbanek. I'm a double degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Nashville, Tennessee. I actually make a very profound statement, I figured out how to treat temporomandibular joint problems successfully. I did research 12 years ago, beginning 12 years ago, after deciding surgery was not the answer. 12 years ago, I started interviewing my patients, and they told me where to look, and what to do. I did that, and amazingly, it turned out very successful.
We now have a device and protocol. It's a device and protocol that when used correctly, solves the temporomandibular joint conundrum. The conundrum is patients who forever years and years have headache, earache, jaw pain, neck pain that have just been misdiagnosed. And when it's been misdiagnosed, it is not been treated correctly. So we have the solution. We've been here at the meeting, we've had a tremendous response. I invite anyone, dentist or otherwise who has TMD, or knows someone who wants to solve this huge problem. 45% of females have temporomandibular joint disease, 45%. Mostly females, because estrogen exacerbates inflammation. And we have the solution.
If you'd like to know more more about it, you can go to our website, www.urbanektmj.com, www.urbanektmj.com. Basically to do what we do, you'd have to take a course. It's an online course. You take the course; it takes you about 3 hours you get three CME credit. Then you can deliver the service which is the device and protocol. I love you to join our group, join the network be part of our team that is going to solve this problem once and forever throughout the United States and beyond. I look forward to meeting or talking to each and every one of you.
