Sirona Dental Systems Thursday unveiled its latest advancement for the CEREC AC system, the CEREC Omnicam. The unveiling occurred at the company’s CEREC 27.5 event in Las Vegas, which was attended by more than 4,000 dentists who can only be described as raving fans of the technology.
The new CEREC Omnicam is smaller than CEREC’s previous units and features a small, rounded camera tube designed to provide easy rotation of the camera in the intraoral space. The camera captures images in photorealistic 2D and 3D. The Omnicam also features automatic anti-shake technology that has so far impressed doctors who have tried the camera at the event.
