A contemporary hybrid implant, the 3i T3 implant by BIOMET offers three surface topographies intended to deliver aesthetic results through tissue preservation.

Coarse micron topography provides 10 micron features by way of a resorbable media blasting process utilizing calcium phosphate particles, allowing for blood clot retention along the implant’s threaded body.

Overlaying this is the fine micron topography created using a dual acid-etching process that provides a 1 to 3 micron peak-to-peak surface.  Designed to support platelet activation, it also reduces the risk of peri-implantitis at the coronal aspect of the implant.

The sub-micron topography option offers a more complex structure with discrete crystalline deposition of calcium phosphate nanoparticles, allowing for greater integration throughout the early healing process.

3i T3 implants are outfitted with integrated platform switching that maintains bone levels by medializing the implant abutment inward.  Additionally, the Certain® Internal Connection in conjunction with the Gold-Tite® Screw reduces microleakage through exacting interface tolerances and maximized clamping forces, while also lubricating and compressing components to offer a tighter fit.
