01. Can you tell us about the recently announced Vision 2020 plan?

Heraeus Kulzer, LLC, provider of dental esthetics, has announced it has been named 2013 "Supplier of the Year" by the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL). Heraeus was selected for this honor based on achievements in dental laboratory technology, product innovation and community involvement.

The CAD/CAM custom-made Narval™ CC mandibular repositioning device (MRD) is designed for patients with mild to moderate OSA, as well as those who are unable to comply to CPAP treatment. Big news involving a pair of large dental companies was announced Thanksgiving week. Ivoclar Vivadent, headquartered in Schaan, Liechtenstein, announced the acquisition of Wieland Dental, a major supplier of dental systems solutions. The acquisition should be completed by the end of the year.

For dental labs devastated by Superstorm Sandy, there is help available. The National Association of Dental Laboratories is providing disaster relief in amounts of up to $800 per lab.
