The new Straumann CARES Restorations made of 3M ESPE Lava Plus High Translucency Zirconia is a material engineered for excellent translucency that allows natural, warm colors to shine from the inside of dental crowns and bridges. Lava Plus reportedly is the only CAD/CAM zirconia system that matches the VITA

Classical A1-D4 shades and two bleached shades. Lava Plus all-zirconia restorations are said to be virtually unbreakable-and without porcelain overlay, worries about chipping are minimized.
Straumann Variobase® Coping for Bridge/Bar
By the year 2020, it is estimated that some 38 million adults in the U.S. will be in need of one or two complete dentures.

Straumann CARES X-Stream™ for Bars and Bridges
CARES X-Stream, the solution designed to deliver all the prosthetic components necessary for a final restoration from only one scan & design procedure, is now available for Bars and Bridges in conjunction with the Variobase coping on bone level Screw-Retained Abutments. This approach is said to save time and money for labs that are looking to compete more effectively in today’s cost and time-conscious market.
Centralized Milling enhancements in North American facility
Recently, Straumann initiated a $15 million dollar investment project in the North American centralized milling facility in Arlington, Texas. Spearheaded by the installation of new Kern and Chiron milling machines, Straumann customers will benefit from reliable production times and precisely milled prosthetics that will help dental laboratories deliver the functional and esthetic results today’s patients require.
