To reflect its recent growth, SoundBite Technology is changing the name of its cloud-based software to LabStar.
“In 2013 over 100 new labs signed up for our software, and all the while we’ve been making nonstop improvements. With so much growth, we decided to change the name to LabStar,” said Jeff Noles, CEO of SoundBite Technology. “The name LabStar embodies our goal of guiding dental labs into the digital future. Our two strengths-cutting-edge technology and ease-of-use-are also symbolized by the name LabStar.”
The new logo is a tooth in a cloud underneath a guiding star.
LabStar was formally launched in 2012 after 18 months of development and testing with a handful of dental labs. Noles said that LabStar’s purpose is to provide the dental lab industry with a cloud-based alternative to older server-based software: “LabStar allows all sizes of dental labs to easily use digital technology and combine it with traditional ways of building restorations.”
Noles thinks customer growth will continue as dental labs look for better management tools in an increasingly competitive industry. We’ve been pleased by the lab industry’s enthusiastic response to LabStar," he said. "We’re clearly filling a need for easy-to-use, cloud-based software that helps dental labs cut costs and grow sales. We’re looking forward to another year of helping our customers grow and succeed.”
