This new fluoride- and hydrogen peroxide-free toothpaste from Optivida aims for gentle, effective whitening that repairs and protects enamel.
Health solutions group Optivida has announced a new toothpaste offering–the Optivida Nano-Silver Whitening Toothpaste. This SilverSentinel™ toothpaste is formulated without the use of hydrogen peroxide, which sets it apart from standard whitening toothpastes that typically incorporate this ingredient. It also utilizes hydroxyapatite in the formula, which aids in remineralization.
Optivida’s SilverSentinel is also free of fluoride, relying instead on the nano-silver formulation to reportedly kill germs, prevent gum disease, and eliminate bad breath. It is said to be able to not only repair dentinal tubules, but also to protect those same tubules, preventing future sensitivity. The silver is also designed to prevent plaque, aiding further in its antibacterial capabilities.
The formulation is supported by a variety of research as referenced in a press release from Optivida. To learn more about SilverSentinel, which is available now, visit the website here.
