AdDent has announced the launch of the new Polarizing Filter attachment for the Rite-Lite 2 Shade Matching Unit.

AdDent has announced the launch of the new Polarizing Filter attachment for the Rite-Lite 2 Shade Matching Unit.

The Rite-Lite 2 still comes with 3 color temperatures (5500k, 3200k and 3900k), which helps ensure that the shade will match under incandescent and ambient lighting conditions. The Polarizing Filter is used to eliminate reflection and provides enhanced visualization for depth and transparencies.

It reportedly also enhances the visualization of internal details and individual characterization. The unit comes with a pack of neutral color pads that are placed behind the teeth to prevent the darkness from the back of the mouth from protruding forward.  The Rite-Lite 2 is available with or without the Polarizing Filter. All Rite-Lite 2 units purchased after July 2014 will accept the Polarizing Filter.
