IRVINE, Calif. – (July 14, 2010) – J. Morita USA today announced the discontinuation of Rotary Master, an electric low speed handpiece. This decision was made as a result of the company’s desire to focus resources on equipment developed by its parent company, J. Morita Manufacturing Corporation. This change takes effect immediately, as inventory supplies have been depleted.

This decision does not impact J. Morita’s commitment to the handpiece market. Recent advancements in turbine design and patient protection have differentiated J. Morita as a leader in the highly competitive air-driven sector. The company will continue to invest heavily in the expansion and continued research and development of its current handpieces including TwinPower Turbine and Air Torx.

“Rotary Master has been a great product for J. Morita USA for nearly ten years,” said Steven White, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We carefully assessed the impact of Rotary Master sales in North America and concluded this is a positive step that will allow us to focus our current efforts in the air-driven market. We are thrilled with the product line developed by our parent company and we are excited about future possibilities for a replacement in the electric category.”
