DPR Friday, Dental Products Report’s weekly product news broadcast, is a 2012 Telly Winner, taking home a Bronze Award for top Internet/Online Program, Segment or Promotional Piece.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. Its mission has been to strengthen the visual arts community by inspiring, promoting, and supporting creativity. The 32nd Annual Telly Awards received over 11,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents.
All judges are members of the Silver Telly Council. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other. Instead, entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Judges score entries on a performance scale and winning entries are recognized and awarded as Silver or Bronze Winners based on the combined scoring of the judges who evaluate each entry.
Started in March of 2011, DPR Friday highlights new products, relates industry news in a more engaged format and features interviews with industry leaders. Hosted by Thais Carter, Director of Content for Advanstar Dental Media, the program is filmed and edited by Mark Traverso of SCI Television Productions.
"We are honored to be recognized by the Telly Council," said Carter. "There is an incredible team behind DPR Friday and it feels great to have a community outside of dentistry affirm the work that goes into making each episode something of value."
