Dentsply Sirona and Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine have come together to open a new digital dentistry training facility for the next generation of dental professionals.
Dentsply Sirona and Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Dental Medicine have collaborated to bring a new dental training facility to NSU’s Tampa Bay Regional Campus in Clearwater, Florida. This international training facility was 2 years in the making and has been supplied with Dentsply Sirona technology and equipment to help students train in a simulation of a real dental practice, according to a press release from Dentsply Sirona.
Systems provided by Dentsply Sirona include 64 Intego Pro treatment centers, 38 simulation workstaions, 37 Heliodent Plus intraoral X-ray units, 1 fully loaded 2D/3D X-ray system Axeos, CEREC Primescan and Primemill, and more. This all culminates in a digital workflow training solution that NSU dental students can benefit from, according to Dean of NSU College of Dental Medicine Dr Steven Kaltman.
“This state-of-the-art, fully digitalized facility is a testament to the shared vision and goals of NSU College of Dental Medicine and Dentsply Sirona,” Dr Kaltman said in the press release. “Through our ongoing commitment to innovation, we can continue to advance oral healthcare and dental education for years to come. We are honored to have Dentsply Sirona as a loyal partner and appreciate its tremendous support of our academic mission and students over the years.”
This training facility is courtesy of Dentsply Sirona International Special Clinic Solutions, which offered design assistance both 2D and 3D and educational solutions. All this was done to create a learning environment for the next generation of dental professionals, according to VP of Dentsply Sirona International Special Sirona Clinic Solutions, Joerg Vogel.
“Supporting the next generation of dental professionals means ensuring they have access to the highest quality tools and equipment during their training,” Vogel said in the press release. “We are proud to partner with leading educational institutions like NSU College of Dentistry to bring that vision to life. With reliable simulation units and treatment centers, as well as modern digital dentistry solutions, students from NSU will be well prepared to provide the best care for their future patients.”
