DS Academy learners are in luck as Dentsply Sirona announces an expansion of its popular clinical education program DS Academy to include new courses and webinars on digital dentistry. Called DS Academy Campus, these new learning opportunities will provide learners with on-demand, expert-led content with some eligibility for continuing education, according to a press release from Dentsply Sirona.

Its first webinar, which will take place on October 26, 2023, will be hosted by Canadian dentist Dr Michael Parchewsky, expert on artificial intelligence (AI). It will be titled, “Artificial Intelligence: From Oral Health to Systemic Health; How AI Can Help Support Dentistry.” Dr Parchewsky says that these types of webinars can help fill in a lot of informational gaps that clinicians may have.

“AI has made a lot of news recently as technology develops rapidly. But how will this impact my work as a clinician? How can I leverage the power of AI systems to benefit my practice and my patients?” he asks in the press release. “I am excited for the opportunity to present my thoughts and have a lively discussion with the online audience in October.”

Following that, DS Academy Campus’s second webinar will be hosted by aligner expert Dr Sara Mahmood from Dallas, Texas. Dr Mahmood’s presentation will be called, “Predictable Results with Clear Aligner Therapy,” and aims to educate on digital clear aligner workflows.

DS Academy Campus aims to continue this series of webinars each month as it homes in on the importance of clinical education in the dental profession, especially as clinical education stands as one of Dentsply Sirona’s main pillars. Because of its key role in a dental professional’s growth, Dentsply Sirona is excited to provide this opportunity for learners, according to senior vice president, orthodontic aligner solutions & customer experience, Erania Brackett.

Dentsply Sirona World 2023 will also host a variety of educational events, providing visiting clinicians and professionals the opportunity to get in-person, hands-on education. DS World 2023 will be taking place September 21st through the 23rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will house a variety of learning opportunities. Such opportunities include more than 100 courses taught by both local and international instructors as well as 2 live surgeries that will take place on the main stage. Fun events like live shows and networking opportunities will also be at DS World 2023, making it a trip well worth it.
