DENTSPLY Prident expands Shanghai lab
DENTSPLY Prident, a wholly owned subsidiary of DENTSPLY International, has recently expanded into a new facility in Shanghai, China. The new, state-of-the-art dental laboratory operates with capacity of 550 technicians and 240 students. There are two buildings located on the DENTSPLY Prident complex, totaling 290,382 square feet. These buildings include production, administration, dormitories, and other amenity-related facilities for associates.
What makes DENTSPLY Prident unique is the high level of technician training and skill. Students entering the program have a baseline of up to three and a half years of state training and then they must complete up to twelve additional months of training at Prident. DENTSPLY Prident is ISO 9001 certified. We provide 510(k) or other relevant FDA information on any materials used in our medical devices. Our customers are confident, knowing all materials used in fabrication have market clearance from the FDA and carry our DENTSPLY quality guarantee. As a result, our customers have come to expect the dependable high quality, low cost solutions, and peace-of-mind backing by DENTSPLY. Since 2006 Prident has enjoyed growth from both new customer business and expanded services with existing customers.
