Dentatus, well-known for Swedish precision and control, now offers Profin IPR Tips to be used in conjunction with the Profin Directional handpiece.
Each tip is gauged to prescribed amounts of interproximal reduction. Profin provides smooth and constant reduction, reportedly reducing procedure time significantly. Tips are available in five sizes, ranging from .25 to .5mm. In addition, natural contours are said to be easily recreated with an assortment of companion Lamineer Tips.
Profin is designed to overcome obstacles in current interproximal reduction techniques, giving patients comfort and safety while putting control back in the practitioner’s hands because the 1.2 mm stroke will not harm gingival tissue. Profin IPR allows for conservative removal of enamel while preserving the natural anatomy of the tooth.
The Profin Directional System is a reciprocating handpiece that reportedly allows unlimited access to the hardest-to-reach areas. Unlike rotary instruments that may ditch enamel or damage underlying tissues, the companion Lamineer tips are flat, safe-sided and will not affect adjacent surfaces. Profin is ideal for shaping, contouring and polishing natural dentition, as well as restorations made of all diverse materials. It’s designed to move up and down, as well as around, giving you maximum flexibility and access.
