For more than 30 years, Cathy Jameson, founder and CEO of Jameson Management Inc., has been coaching dentists to improve the marketing, management and hygiene aspects of their practices.
Cathy’s system, called the Jameson Method, is rooted in her experience working in the Oklahoma practice owned by her husband, Dr. John Jameson. Married for 41 years, they built a business that evolved into a well-known dental treatment center that drew patients from several states. It was one of the first practices in the nation to offer payment options through a dental financing organization.
After working as a sales representative in the finance industry and in dental software, Cathy set up an office in her living room and started writing articles about practice management. Eventually, she formed her company that has become an international dental consulting and lecture firm.
“We touch thousands of lives each day with themes of profitability, productivity and reduced stress,” Cathy said. “It’s awesome to know we’re helping doctors and teams reach their full potential.”
Prior to expanding the company, which now employs more than 30 professionals internationally, Cathy overcame many challenges. For example, years ago, she suffered a head injury in a horse riding accident.
“My recovery was described as miraculous,” she said. “Incidents like that give you new spiritual perspective that helps drive both your personal and professional commitments.”
Cathy also supports various charitable efforts including Give Back A Smile and serving on the board of the Oklahoma State University Foundation. She is helping the Oklahoma Dental Foundation staff a mobile unit with dentist volunteers. In addition, she started the Branch of Peace Award to recognize people in the dental industry who exemplify outstanding philanthropic, leadership or environmentalist ideals.
Her passion is contagious.
