Healthcare financier CareCredit is celebrating a major milestone – the 100,000th dental practice has enrolled to accept the CareCredit credit card as a means of payment for patients seeking access to needed and desired care.
According to CareCredit, this milestone means that eight out of every ten dental practices in the U.S. currently accept CareCredit, plus an average of 6,300 new credit card accounts are approved each day.
The 100,000th dental practice belongs to Lithia, Florida’s Dr. Joseph Wareham, who sees CareCredit as great way for his patients to access the care they need, which keeps them healthier in the long run. “We’d considered adding CareCredit for years and wish we had done so a lot sooner,” said Dr. Wareham. “Everything we heard CareCredit could do for our practice and patients, it has. We tell all of our patients about CareCredit when we discuss treatment. Our goal is to get them healthy, and for many patients, CareCredit can make that happen.”
CareCredit was established in 1987 to provide patients with a means for paying for new dental implant technology. Over the last 27 years, CareCredit has helped millions of patients receive dental care by financing certain expenses not covered by insurance, or to bridge payment when the desired care exceeds a patient’s insurance coverage.
“This is an important milestone for CareCredit,” said David Fasoli, president and CEO of CareCredit. “CareCredit’s beginnings are in dentistry and it has always been our goal to help dentists and their teams make it easier for patients to access the care they need.”
