Barbara W. Wojdan named President of Knight Dental Group

It's been a good fall season for Barbara W. Wojdan, CDT, AAACD. In September she was named as one of Dental Products Report's Top 25 Women in Dentistry, and in early October she named President of Knight Dental Group. The promotion comes after Wojdan has spent her career working in the Oldsmar Florida dental lab, helping it establish it's place as an industry leader in quality and operations efficiency.

In addition to her work at KDG, Wojdan serves as Vice Chair of the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology, works on outreach for the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry and devotes time to the Give Back A Smile™ Foundation. As President at KDG Wojdan is sure to continue the lab's role pushing the industry forward. Everyone at DLP and DPR offer her congratulations on the well deserved new position.

Oldsmar, Florida: Knight Dental Group, CDL, DAMAS is extremely proud to announce that Barbara W. Wojdan, CDT, AAACD was named company President on October 10, 2011.

“Knight Dental Group has established itself as a high quality and technology leader in the dental laboratory industry. Barb Wojdan will help lead us into our next journey as a world leader in comprehensive dental laboratory solutions,” said Knight Dental Group CEO Warren Rogers.

Wojdan started her career at KDG, working under the direction of her father, Bob Warner, CDT. She grew her career spending time in just about every department, before she found her true love in functional-esthetic dentistry.

During her 20 years of experience, she has been instrumental in the laboratory becoming the industry leader it is today. She is part of the management team that has seen the company achieve the Certified Dental Laboratory (CDL) and Dental Appliance Manufacturers Audit System (DAMAS) certifications, introduced Lean Manufacturing and streamlined the lab’s many processes. One of her greatest accomplishments in the lab has been launching the Comprehensive Aesthetic Center, Knight's pinnacle all-ceramic division.

Wojdan has recently celebrated many personal achievements as well. In September, she was named in the “Top 25 Women in Dentistry” by Dental Products Report, and was named on the “Who’s Hot in Dental Laboratory Technology” list by the Journal of Dental Technology in January of this year. She achieved perhaps her greatest personal career accomplishment in May of 2011 when she was awarded the distinction of Accredited Technician by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).

In addition, Wojdan spends time giving back to the profession that she loves. She serves as Vice Chair of the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology, as a Facilitator on The American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry’s (ABCD) Members in Progress Outreach Program and participates with the Give Back A Smile ™ Foundation.

Wojdan will continue to work closely with Knight CEO Warren Rogers to achieve her vision for the company.
