Lately things have been moving at The Argen Corporation, and not just the numerous alloys the company produces for the global dental laboratory market. A recently launched employee Wellness Program helped encourage 39 members of the Argen team to take part in the La Jolla Shores 5K event last month.
Employee health and well being are being made a priority at businesses in just about every industry, and at Argen the program was created by CEO Anton Woolf who said in a press release that he hopes, "to create a culture within Argen that inspires individuals to invest in their personal health." Of the employees participating in the recent 5K, 5 were awarded medals for finishing among the leaders in their respective age groups.
The program at Argen included organized training walks, chair yoga sessions and personal health assessments for employees. Woolf said he hopes the increased focus on fitness and well being will inspire not just Argen's employees, but the dental industry as a whole to invest in their health.
