The seventh annual American Association of Dental Office Managers Conference kicked off this morning at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, and I’m here to keep you up-to-date on the latest from this sold out show. Office managers, practice administrators, insurance and finance coordinators, and patient and treatment coordinators are here, too, excited to be part of this networking and educational event for administrative professionals.
This three-day event is filled with opportunities for growth, and that includes the two sessions that kicked off this year’s meeting. Enthusiastic attendees had the choice between AADOM’s introduction to Dental Office Management, a course for attendees with less than 5 years of management experience, and The Practice Administrator as an in-house consultant: Making the most of your elite position.
During the in-house consultant course, Debbie Castagna and Virginia Moore stressed the importance of knowing your purpose in the practice and not being afraid to take risks to get results.
“The bottom line is getting results,” Moore said.”That elite position is about saying ‘What can I do to further enhance the practice I work for.’ It’s about results and clarity of purpose.”
This jam packed event is just beginning, so check back for more from Nashville throughout the weekend.
