Planmeca University is taking the Digital Dentistry Certification to a whole new level. In 2007, the Chairside Dental Designer program (C.D.D.) was introduced with the objective of encouraging the opportunities for growth and proficiency of dental assistants and dental technicians within CAD/CAM chairside dentistry.
Since then, the program has grown to over 250 C.D.D.s strong. The C.D.D. program has been redesigned and renamed to Certified in Digital Dentistry, representing dentistry’s rapidly evolving digital environment and creating additional possibilities for professional growth within the digital dental world. CAD/CAM related groups/specialties within the program include Scanning, Designing, and Finishing - each specialty with their own unique requirements.
