Dental Products Report, the No. 1 product magazine in the dental industry, is continuing to expand its coverage of industry events. The editorial team’s efforts to draw attention to not only good products, but products in the service of good, takes them to Richmond, Virginia on Friday, April 27 for a special 10th anniversary of the Give Kids a Smile program.
“One of the most valuable ways to showcase products in use is through events such as this,” said Thais Carter, Director of Content for Advanstar Dental Media. “We believe there is just as much to be gained from reporting on the products donated for dental screenings as there is to publishing techniques in the magazine. It is an important reminder to the dental community that they have a vital role to play in not only caring for their patients, but in educating their communities.”
In partnership with Henry Schein Dental, 3M ESPE Dental and the ADA Foundation, the Richmond International Raceway will be the host site to a special day of screening for underserved children. DPR’s coverage will include video interviews with key people organizing the event, as well as write-ups on the variety of efforts being made by the participating dental professionals. Not to be missed is our conversation with Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
The event also is part of the yearlong celebration of the Give Kids A Smile program’s 10th anniversary in 2012. Fans can follow Give Kids A Smile on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GiveKidsASmile.
The yearlong education program includes a national public service announcement featuring Greg Biffle and ongoing outreach to parents and children through dental offices, community events and media. Throughout the year, there will be more than 1,600 Give Kids A Smile events around the country providing dental services to more than 400,000 underserved children.
