Macie Kerr, DMD, is a recent graduate of Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona. She received Dean’s Clinician/Researcher Award for her contributions to research at Midwestern. Dr Kerr is now in private practice and remains passionate about dental research.
Alexandra Pierre-Bez, DMD, is an assistant professor at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona. She mentors students in the Simulation Clinic and works with preclinical and clinical students on dental research projects.
John C. Mitchell, PhD, professor and associate dean for dental research at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona, earned his PhD from The Ohio State University in 1999 in the dual fields of tissue engineering and implant biomaterials science. He was a faculty member at Oregon Health & Science University from 2001 to 2013, before joining Midwestern University as the director of biomaterials research and associate dean for research. He has been the advisor and mentor for over 250 student and resident investigators.
Amy Stein, PhD, completed her doctoral degree in statistical science at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She is the consulting biostatistician in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Midwestern University and serves as an assistant professor teaching biostatistics for the master of public health program. She specializes in statistical analysis of research data and regularly collaborates with clinicians and scientists.
