Exposing the risks of dental tourism
October 9th 2014Dental systems research firm Software Advice recently shared the opportunity for dental practices to communicate the risk of traveling abroad for dental care to patients. As “dental tourism” becomes a growing trend in the U.S., Software Advice surveyed a random sample of 1,155 U.S. patients to see which patients are most likely to travel for dental care, and what might cause them to reconsider. Tony Gwynn's death a dark reminder that smokeless tobacco damaging to oral health [VIDEO]
June 25th 2014Baseball Hall of Famer, Tony Gwynn, was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer in 2010. After a four-year battle that involved radiation therapy and two operations to remove tumors, Gwynn lost his life to oral cancer on June 16, 2014. He was 54 years old and left behind a wife and two children.
