This new implant and abutment system from ZimVie is designed for strength, preservation, and esthetics by building on existing systems.
ZimVie has announced the launch of its new T3® PRO Tapered Implant and Encode® Emergence Healing Abutment. These products are both cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and will add to ZimVie’s already expansive line of dental implant and abutment solutions, according to a press release from the company. The T3 PRO will build on the original T3 Tapered Implant, which were launched in 2013, while the Encode Emergence Healing Abutment will work with ZimVie’s 3-in-1 Encode Impression System.
“We are excited to launch the next evolution in our T3 family of implants and Encode impression system, which has been used in more than 2 million implant restoration procedures to date,” SVP and President of ZimVie Dental Indraneel Kanaglekar said in the press release. “ZimVie is committed to providing innovative treatment options to improve patient care while partnering with dental professionals globally to advance dental technology and end-to-end workflow solutions.”
The T3 PRO is designed with a hybrid surface and an Osseotite® surface on the implant collar which is superimposed on the grit-blasted implant body. Osseotite has clinically shown both high safety and performance, according to studies, while also preserving crestal bone. T3 PRO has a modernized collar design for placement depth adjustment, and self-tapping threads for controlled insertion which are said to deliver ideal torque and improved tactile feel during placement.
Encode Emergence is a healing abutment, impression coping, and scan body that is designed to provide efficiency by having a robust, 3-in-1 solution. Encode Emergence Healing Abutment is said to allow for clear intraoral scanning and restoration precision with a pink color that matches most gingiva for enhanced esthetics post-surgery.
These solutions are available now from ZimVie.
