Set to launch at the upcoming ADA event in New Orleans, the X-Runner ablative laser scanning handpiece for the Lightwalker AT dual-wavelength dental laser offers automated all-tissue ablation capabilities, and allows the user to adjust cutting area size and shape.
Said to be ideal for precise, deep or wide cuts in hard or soft dental tissues, the X-Runner lets the user select the shape and size of the ablation area prior the cutting process, allowing dentists to work faster and more precisely. Also, the handpiece can be used for a wide range of treatments, such as standard cavity and veneer preps, as well as surgical and implant procedures.
The Runner-X lets practitioners use the same parameters and settings that are available with the Lightwalker AT’s standard handpieces, plus dentists can switch between automated modality and classic modality without switching out handpieces. Also, the handpiece offers a wide variety of treatment shapes – circular, rectangular, hexagonal, and more – that can be adjusted according to various parameters, including width, length and diameter of ablation area.
For more information about the X-Runner handpiece, head to Technology4Medicine’s website at www.t4med.com or visit booth number 618 at the ADA event from October 31st to November 2nd.
