Clon3D, an oral care solution provider is launching a new intraoral scanner in North America under the brand name WOW, the company announced this week in a press release.
The software-based scanner connects to three dental professions-orthodontics, oral surgery, and prosthetics. The WOW scanner is a two-in-one; it combines capturing 2D and 3D images based on the open architecture formats and can import to any open CAD system.
WOW Scan is said to reliably reproduce human stereoscopic vision by providing very detailed and real color images. Thanks to its compact design, the scanner offers fluid handling, comparable to the grip of a pen.
The real-time projection is said to allow for better diagnosis and better communication between the dentist and the patient. Since the WOW Scan is software-based, it’s able to be updated without replacing any hardware and updates are free.
