After speaking with Dr. Frank Milnar of St. Paul, Minn., briefly about COMPONEER® from Coltene Whaledent for the August issue of Dental Products Report, Group Editorial Director Kevin Henry traveled to Minnesota to go more in depth with Dr. Milnar on why he chooses to integrate COMPONEER into his practice.
Dr. Milnar couldn't say enough about the benefits of COMPONEER. "Just as an architect creates a blueprint for a house or a building, the clinician also creates a blueprint to develop the architecturally designed restorations," said Dr. Milnar. "Coltene has done a wonderful job [with COMPONEER] because the architecture and anatomy is all included in the restoration."
COMPONEER direct composite veneers reportedly make it easy to perform restorations of anterior teeth to treat a variety of indicators, including cosmetic corrections, discoloration, anatomical malformations and more.
"What I think Coltene has done is make it easy for clinicians that don't have the technical skills to do direct veneers," explained Dr. Milnar. "While they're learning, they can have a versatility in their practice."
