Ultradent Releases Enamelast Flavor Free
Ultradent has announced the release of Enamelast™ Flavor Free. Enamelast Flavor-Free is the newest fluoride varnish in the Enamelast family. It is designed to work best with patients who do not wish to have any lingering taste when they leave their appointments, as well as for patients who may have certain allergies to typical flavors, according to a press release from Ultradent.
Ultradent VP of Clinical Affairs Jaleena Jessop, DDS, said this product came from patient feedback. "I've had countless patients tell me they simply don’t want any flavor in their varnish," Dr Jessop said in the press release. "We created this so patients can leave the office feeling refreshed, without flavor staying around throughout their day."
Enamelast’s unique formula fluoride varnish is a 5% sodium fluoride in a resin carrier. It is said to produce mechanical occlusion of the dentinal tubules in the treatment of tooth hypersensitivity.
