TP Orthodontics introduced a pre-coated option to its Nu-Edge NX™ brackets, the company announced on Oct. 2.

Nu-Edge NX brackets are ready to place out of the package and are pre-coated with eXact® clear orthodontic adhesive. This reduces the risk of contamination and the brackets set without sliding, TP Orthodontics said in a press release. Pre-coated brackets offer clinicians efficiency and convenience, the company said.

Constructed from cobalt chromium, these brackets are biocompatible to patients with nickel sensitivity and their construction materials helps prevent archwire slot collapse, the press release said. The mini-twin design smoothly incorporates into any orthodontics practice, the statement said. A self-ligating version is also available.

"I have used Nu-Edge for over 7 years and love their reliability. Easy to place and remove, no pinched slots, no issues with tie wings and it is easy to cut steel ties around the brackets. Nu-Edge brackets are low-profile while offering great rotational and torque control,” said Dr. Brooks Barefoot of Total Orthodontics in Lone Tree, Colorado.

Founded in 1942, TP Orthodontics is a premier provider of orthodontic services and products, including an exclusive portfolio of aesthetic braces. The company provides over 15,000 products to over 50 countries and manufactures a wide array of products and custom orthodontic appliances for global distribution.
