So what exactly are dental students thinking about as they prepare to enter the “real world” and start their dental careers? That was just one of the questions I asked Amy Governor, a fourth-year dental student at West Virginia University, during a recent Google Hangout.
Governor was recently named as the winner of Jeff Baumrucker Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship awarded by SmileTreeâ¢/Climb For A Cause⢠and Quality Dental Plan to a deserving third- or fourth-year dental student. Part of the scholarship allows her the opportunity to gain real world dental experience during an upcoming SmileTreeâ¢/Climb For A Cause⢠sponsored oral health education and treatment.
During our interview, I asked Governor about the scholarship, her scheduled trip to Guatemala to help those in need, and how much her dental school debt weighs on her mind. Click below to watch our interview.
