OnX Tough 3D printing resin from SprintRay is designed to deliver durability and esthetics to a dental prosthetics.
3D printing solutions company SprintRay has commercially launched its next generation hybrid ceramic 3D printing resin, OnX Tough. This resin is indicated for 3D printing dental prosthetics and utilizes SprintRay’s NanoFusion™ technology. This proprietary technology is designed to help the resin deliver esthetic and durable dental prosthetics for labs and dental professionals through its formulation of dense polymer chains.
This durable resin is designed for same-day, chairside dentistry working with SprintRay’s digital workflows for maximum efficiency, according to SprintRay Vice President, Materials Sumeet Jain, PhD.
“When creating OnX Tough, we set out to design a next generation resin that addressed a key limitation of 3D printed prosthetics today–durability and toughness,” Dr Jain said a press release from the company. “To address these limitations we developed NanoFusion technology, a new approach to dental chemistry. NanoFusion materials have a novel composition and from dense polymer chains to deliver dental prostheses with best-in-class fracture toughness, 5 times that of first generation technology.”
OnX Tough is designed to integrate smoothly with SprintRay’s established 3D printing workflow.
