The three-day continuing education opportunity is created for entire dentistry teams.
Sprig Oral Health Technologies Inc. (Sprig) announced today its agenda and opportunities for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's (AAPD) Annual Session, which takes place May 23-26 in Chicago. Sprig's lineup includes launching a new continuing educational opportunity for dentistry professionals, called SprigLive, and a special outreach opportunity, spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer Brenda Hansen. Attendees can also benefit from Sprig's wide selection of products and interactive opportunities, including live demos, product training and exclusive pricing at the Sprig Dental booth (#1501, Salon C).
Introducing SprigLive
Sprig is pleased to give AAPD attendees a first look at its three-day educational event in San Diego Nov. 8–11. Designed not only for dentists but for their entire teams, the continuing education opportunity will delve into relevant pediatric dentistry topics such as pulp therapy, using MTA treatment for both primary and permanent teeth, advances and innovations in laser therapy, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recertification, and many others. At the Sprig booth, AAPD attendees can learn about one of the few continuing education events designed for entire treatment teams, and can access special SprigLive pricing. Sprig welcomes CEO Brenda Hansen
At this year's session, Sprig will also welcome CEO Brenda Hansen. Hansen's path to leadership at Sprig is a remarkable one. After witnessing her 3-year-old son, John Paul, endure the painful process of receiving dental crowns after cracking his front four teeth, Hansen became motivated to find a better pediatric dental crown option, not only for her son, but for all young patients. Hansen now leads one of the industry’s top technology and clinical education companies, which produced the first pediatric zirconia crown among revolutionary products, including the HemeRx, SmartMTA and EZPrep Diamond Bur System. All of Sprig's products will be available for demo and purchase at its booth.
Hansen also looks forward to bringing another aspect of Sprig's mission to this year's session: community outreach. AADP attendees will be able to weigh-in where portions of Sprig's sales will go by stopping by Sprig's booth and selecting from three influential charities: Chicago Hope for Kids, CDA Cares or the AAPD Foundation. A display will be offered to attendees where they can learn more about the three organizations, all of which benefit children and the pediatric dental industry. At the end of the event, when all the numbers are tallied, Sprig will pay it forward to each of the organizations by donating a percentage of its sales to each organization.
"At Sprig, we're committed to community involvement and outreach," Hansen says. "It was a wonderful experience selecting these worthy organizations for this year's session. Researching each organization's mission and gaining more knowledge regarding their positive community footprints reminded me why we do this work-helping children and helping others."
A strong partner in Henry Schein, Inc.
In 2018, Sprig announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Henry Schein Inc., adding the company as its exclusive U.S. territory distributor. Over the past year, this relationship has allowed Sprig and Henry Schein to reach more patients in the pediatric dental space. At this year's session, Sprig and Henry Schein are pleased to offer Sprig’s product portfolio of products including: EZCrowns, HemeRx, SmartMTA and EZPrep.
Additionally, attendees will be able to read the latest edition of Shift Magazine, the pediatric industry's premier publication. This issue’s cover features a Sacramento mother of two’s story of researching and discovering EZCrown, the right solution for her daughter, by way of a SprigU-trained pediatric dentist.
