SOTA and Pearl Partner to Combine Digital Imaging and Artificial Intelligence

Dental artificial intelligence (AI) group Pearl has announced a partnership with SOTA dental imaging software, specifically its SOTA Cloud^® software solution. Pearl’s Second Opinion^® clinical pathology detection AI solution will be integrated with SOTA Cloud, offering clinicians the opportunity to use AI-assisted evaluation of dental radiographs, according to a press release from Pearl.

Second Opinion examines X-rays to check for conditions and caries and offer the clinicians another opinion to supplement treatment planning. Its integration with cloud-based dental imaging software SOTA Cloud will let dentists bolster their treatment capabilities, according to Pearl’s founder and CEO Ophir Tanz.

“Together with SOTA, we are pushing the envelope of dental imaging further toward a fully AI-powered dental future,” Tanz said in the press release. “AI will be a basic utility in dentistry and we see obvious advantages to making that utility an integral feature of the tools that dentists are already using. Through this partnership, dentists using SOTA Cloud can seamlessly access Pearl’s AI capabilities to obtain better, more consistent insights from patient imagery and present cases to patients more effectively, leading to better outcomes, a higher standard of care, and more productive patient communication.”

This integration will allow clinicians to focus on what’s important–the patients, according to SOTA founder and president Brian Kim.
