Even though they’re not officially launching it until the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, Carestream Dental had the CS 7600 imaging plate system on hand for attendees to preview at the Greater New York Dental Meeting this week.

This cost effective system features plates that are as easy to use as film, minimizing the learning curve. It enables the user to view the image in as little as 5 seconds. Because plates are identified electronically before the exam and recognized during the scan, each scanned image is automatically routed to the appropriate computer and patient file. Other features include built-in memory; the ability to obtain formatted full mouth series exams with minimal user intervention; instant image preview; the ability to connect to a private network; and Ethernet connectivity.
