Product Bites – April 26, 2024 podcast transcript:

Welcome to Product Bites a weekly podcast from Dental Products Report providing you with a rundown of recently launched and updated dental technologies, materials, instruments, and everything else you might use with patients or while running your practice.

I’m your host for this week, DPR Editor Kellie Nock, and on this week’s podcast we’ve got 4 new products with launches from RADIUS, Central Data Storage, OrthoNu, and Formlabs.

So let’s get to it and learn about these newly launched dental products.

First up

Our first product today is from RADIUS, the oral care products manufacturer. They've just introduced their Immune Support Toothpaste Collection. This collection, featuring both standard and pediatric options, boasts a unique blend of elderberry, vitamin C, vitamin E, and hydroxyapatite – a combination dubbed the "Triple Action Immune Boost." The formula not only provides cavity protection and remineralization but also aims to bolster the immune system. With variants like Immuni-Minty in Elderberry Mint Flavor for adults and Super Duper Bubble Berry Mint for children, RADIUS aims to cater to all ages. Plus, with ingredients like coconut oil, baking soda, and elderberry for teeth whitening, this collection is accessible to all patients.

Next up, we have Central Data Storage (CDS), a data protection and restoration service tailored for dental practices. In an era where digital security is paramount, CDS offers redundant on and offsite storage in its private cloud, ensuring that dental office data remains secure and accessible. Partnering with UnisonBDR for encryption, CDS provides peace of mind against hardware failure or cybersecurity threats. With features like versioning, 448-bit encryption, deduplication, and compression, CDS ensures minimal downtime and business continuity in data recovery. Best of all, it seamlessly integrates with popular practice management software like Dentrix, Open Dental, Curve, and Denticon, making it a must-have for modern dental practices.

Our next spotlight shines on OrthoNu and their innovative Oral Relief Product Line. Designed to alleviate discomfort commonly associated with braces or aligners, OrthoNu introduces 4 pioneering products to enhance the orthodontic journey. From Chillin' Strips that soothe inflamed gums to ComfortTape for instant relief, these products cater to both young and adult patients. Mouth-Aid targets irritation in the mouth, while OrthoChewz offer relief from discomfort and dry mouth without harboring bacteria. With natural ingredients and functional applications, OrthoNu's products are set to revolutionize orthodontic care, providing comfort and relief where it's needed most.

Last, Formlabs unveils its latest Form 4 and Form 4B 3D printers, promising faster print speeds and enhanced productivity for dental professionals. With the Form 4B boasting the ability to print an accurate dental model every 49 seconds, these printers set a new standard for additive manufacturing. Featuring Formlabs' proprietary Low Force Display™ (LFD) print engine, updated resin library, and automated post-processing, the Form 4 series delivers unparalleled print quality and reliability. With benefits like validated print settings, precision heating, and affordability, Formlabs continues to innovate, empowering dental professionals with cutting-edge technology.
