These flossers from Plackers are sustainable and effective in their biodegradable and compostable design.
Dental flosser brand Plackers® has announced the launch of its new EcoChoice Compostable Dental Flossers. These dental flossers are 100% biodegradable, crafted from Danimer Scientific’s PHA. Danimer Scientific’s PHA is a biopolymer made from Canola oil, natural silk floss, and coconut coating, according to a press release from Plackers.
These flossers are designed to decompose after 26 weeks if composted, and are an opportunity for a greener oral care solution, according to Plackers Development Engineer Patrick Sherer.
“Our new EcoChoice Compostable Flossera are a true innovation in more sustainable dental products,” said Sherer in the press release. “They not only offer the convenience people expect from flossers but create an opportunity to reduce the amount of plastic that ends up in oceans and landfills.”
EcoChoice Compostable Flossers will join Plackers’s line of EcoChoice products. They are available exclusively through Amazon.
