Pelton & Crane hosts STEM event in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization

On August 23, 2014, Pelton & Crane, a member of KaVo Kerr Group, partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters to support their initial launch of the STEMmersion program.

The goal of the STEM program is to expose children in local communities to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as they are applied in the workplace.

This past Saturday, the Pelton & Crane team engaged 20 children in a two-hour event focused on how STEM topics are essential in the engineering of dental chairs and delivery systems. The children toured the show room, factory and R&D test lab. The last hour of the event was designed as a hands-on experience for the kids, designing catapults and testing them for accuracy and distance.
