In a strategic move to redefine dental care, leader in dental artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, Pearl, has announced an exclusive partnership with Patterson Dental. The collaboration aims to distribute Pearl's cutting-edge Second Opinion® and Practice Intelligence® software solutions and integrate the AI pathology detection feature set of Second Opinion® within Patterson’s Eaglesoft dental practice management software, according to a press release from the company.

Last year, Pearl's Second Opinion® made history as the first dental AI software authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration to assist dentists in detecting various conditions commonly diagnosed in x-rays of adult teeth in patients aged 12 and older. The software offers numerous benefits to dentists, including a 37% more accurate detection of pathology in patient x-rays, a 24% higher case acceptance for restorative, endodontic, and periodontic treatments, and a significant 71% increase in patient trust in diagnoses, per the press release.

Pearl's Practice Intelligence® platform extends these benefits beyond the dental chair by synthesizing AI clinical findings with patient treatment data automatically synced from practice management systems. This integration delivers actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, clinical excellence, and practice growth.

In collaboration with Patterson Dental, Pearl's advanced AI capabilities will be seamlessly integrated within the Eaglesoft practice management software. This integration will provide Patterson Dental customers across the United States with dentistry’s most advanced clinical AI capabilities.

Patterson Dental also plans to extend this integration to their Fuse cloud-based practice management software and Dolphin practice management software in the future, with details of these integrations to be announced at a later date.
