Quebec, Canada-based Panthera Dental now holds a portfolio of over 110 patents across the dental, medical, and sleep appliance industries.

A leader in CAD/CAM implant solutions and dental sleep appliance development announced the impressive milestone last week, and the mark follows their recent amicable settlement with ResMed SAS that resolves all ongoing patent infringement litigation between Panthera and ResMed SAS in relation to Panthera’s mandibular repositioning devices.

The company states intellectual property is a critical component of the innovation that drives its strategic development and, as such, the recent settlement was an important step in their business growth. Panthera’s extensive patent portfolio reflects constant pursuit of cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art products development in dental prosthetics, implantology, and sleep breathing disorder solutions.

"Our ever-growing portfolio of patents is testament to our commitment to innovation,” Gabriel Robichaud, CEO and co-founder of Panthera Dental, says in a press release. “Panthera has always placed research and development at the forefront of the company so that customers and patients benefit from the latest solutions in the industry."

The more than 110 patents are strategically filed in key markets such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, according to the company. Each patent represents a step forward in Panthera’s mission to improve patient care.

Considered both a pioneer and a leader in the field of customized dental solutions, Panthera’s proprietary technology allows it to offer next-generation products to a wide range of patients, the company says.
