Overjet’s new IRIS software combines AI with cloud-based imaging to create clear, color-enhanced dental X-rays, helping dentists detect and explain oral health issues with precision.
Overjet has introduced IRIS, the first artificial intelligence (AI)-driven dental imaging software that combines cloud-based access with advanced imaging capabilities. Designed to simplify complex X-ray interpretation, IRIS aims to improve diagnostic precision for dentists while giving patients clearer views of their oral health, according to a press release from Overjet.
IRIS is said to enhance traditional X-rays, transforming them into full-color images with FDA-cleared AI that highlights oral diseases and structures with millimeter-level precision. Dentists can capture, analyze, and display these images in a single workflow, allowing for more accurate assessments and easier patient education.
“IRIS doesn’t just capture images. It understands them,” said Overjet CEO Wardah Inam in the press release. “For year’s we’ve witnessed the power of artificial intelligence to enhance both diagnostic precision and patient understanding. But now–by bringing AI directly into the imaging software–IRIS will make this technology a fundamental part of every single dentist’s workflow.”
Developed over 18 months, IRIS features include:
