New features designed to allow the integrated software and hardware platform to automate the process for orthodontic case setups and create predictive outcomes based on any bracket prescription.
Designed to simplify digital indirect bonding for orthodontists, OrthoSelect’s new DIBS AI® 8.0 was just released and will be showcased at this weekend’s AAO Annual Session in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The leading orthodontics software company and digital orthodontics laboratory—located in American Fork, Utah—is an innovator in digital indirect bonding, but with the launch of DIBS AI, is looking to take treatment to the next level in providing orthodontists a powerful tool to speed up treatment times and improve case outcomes.
DIBS stands for digital indirect bonding system. OrthoSelect’s original DIBS legacy software was first released in 2016, with DIBS AI released in July 2020. An integrated software and hardware platform that automates the process for orthodontic case setups, DIBS AI is designed to create predictive outcomes based on any bracket prescription, and deliver accurate, 3D-printed bracket transfer appliances. The platform has changed orthodontics by introducing the first highly automated and simplified digitally assisted bracket placement, the company states.
Key new features in DIBS AI 8.0 include:
DIBS AI software provides the flexibility to 3D print, either in- house or in their lab, extremely accurate bracket transfer appliances (commonly known as IDB trays). This frees up doctor, staff, and chair time by shortening bonding appointments by a third or more, as well as reducing overall treatment time through significant decreases in wire bending and bracket repositioning, according to OrthoSelect.
