OraCare Launches Ortho Protect Rinse for Orthodontic Patients

Developed by OraCare, Ortho Protect is a new rinse specifically formulated to meet the specific needs of orthodontic patients regardless of whether they are being treated with clear aligners or traditional brackets and wires.
While orthodontics provides necessary clinical care for patients with malocclusions, the appliances often hamper a patient's ability to manage their oral care routine. Ortho Protect is a 2-part rinse featuring 4 key ingredients.
The rinse include chlorine dioxide that can kill decay causing bacteria and breaks up biofilm; poloxamer 407 which helps create a smooth tooth surface that is more difficult for plaque to adhere to; calcium lactate which makes calcium available to the patient's teeth; and xylitol to assist with remineralization and elimination of bacteria.
