New heating platform said to enable consistent surface glazing

The Wonder Z-Ring reportedly provides an even thermal heat zone that optimizes the effects of heating up and cooling down.

The Wonder Z-Ring from Dental Creations is engineered to enhance esthetics for zirconia and lithium disilicate.

For the best esthetics and strength, new ceramic systems in dentistry require more accurate control of the CTC (Ceramic Thermal Conductivity). The even heating pattern of the Wonder Z-Ring from Dental Creations is designed to enable consistent surface glazing optimizing the glaze clarity regardless of where you place the unit on the platform.

The Wonder Z-Ring reportedly provides an even thermal heat zone that optimizes the effects of heating up and cooling down. Plus the even heat zone is said to eliminate “fire scale,” (a smooth but dull surface finish) which occurs when the surface of the ceramic gets burned by uneven heating.

The uneven heating of conventional muffles leaves the heating zone cooler in the middle of the platform than on the perimeter of the muffle. Uneven heat distribution causes irreparable damage to large Yz (Yittra Zirconia) restorations in the form of interproximal framework breakage. But the Wonder Z-Ring is engineered to provide even heat and cooling distribution, minimizing the major reason why large Yz cases show delayed stress cooling and cracking in as little as two hours after the firing. The radiant heat ring is designed to optimize depth and vitality firing for layered buildups or lithium disilicate and large Yz (Yittra zirconia) restorations glazing regardless of where the units are placed on the tray.

The Wonder Z-Ring Kit includes one adjustable radiant heat ring, one honeycomb firing tray with 20 stainless steel pins, and three fiber-free firing trays.
