High Impact Resins
SprintRay has announced FDA 510(k) clearance for its High Impact Denture Base, a ceramic-infused denture material indicated for 3D manufacturing and repair of full and partial dentures and baseplates. Used in tandem with High Impact Denture Teeth, these denture resins are designed to deliver strong mechanical properties to guarantee strength and durability in dentures, according to a press release from SprintRay. It is the first ceramic-infused 3D printing material, formulated using SprintRay’s proprietary NanoFusion™ chemistry. This grants them a novel ceramic composition, forming dense polymer chains for protheses with strength, longevity, and durability, per the press release. NanoFusion is also said to suspend the optimal amount of ceramic for strong, fracture resistant dentures. SprintRay is now able to provide custom denture design services with the High Impact Denture Base and Teeth paired with SprintRay Cloud Design. With a design turnaround time of 2 to 3 days, SprintRay is offering an efficient, integrated workflow for dental labs. The new High Impact resins are also fully integrated with the SprintRay 3D printing ecosystem, enabling full denture prints in less than 2 hours. Combining these resins with SprintRay’s existing systems will allow dental labs to craft dentures for patients efficiently and effectively, according to early user Dr Andrew Johnson.
